Project Outline (2006)
Starting our walk from the prime meridian in Greenwich we set-off towards Old Street, taking the foot tunnel under the thames, via St. Anne's Limehouse and it's spire-top time-signal, through Stepney Green, Vallance Road, Brick Lane, Sclater Street and Shoreditch. We started somewhere in the 16th century, waving to Anne Boleyn; the lifts in the foot tunnel caught us somewhere between the 18- and 1980s; the 14 day 'notice to vacate' on the pub in White Horse Lane slapped us into a more contemporary timeframe; the almshouse clock on Whitechapel Road, stuck on 7.28; and by the time we reached our destination, with all reminiscing done, we were somewhere close to a quarter-to-one. Thanks to all who took the time.
